Responsibilities:

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Mechanic to join our team. You will play a pivotal role within the business for ensuring the maintenance and reliability of our mechanical equipment. You will have experience in mechanical repair and maintenance and focus on ensuring the optimal performance of our horticultural equipment.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on various types of equipment such as mowers, strimmers and blowers to ensure proper functioning. Some small vehicle maintenance including gritters and small diggers Carrying our planned preventive maintenance on equipment Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, checks and repairs, Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs as necessary, utilising both manual and power tools. Maintaining a par stock of supplies to ensure equipment is repaired efficiently Work with the operations team to troubleshoot equipment failure and find and implement solutions Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery as required Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Equipment Mechanic or in a similar role within the industry. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical components. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, A full driving licence is required for on-site work.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday 8-4.30pm

Based on site in Fetcham. This role will also involve some regional travel
