WHAT TO EXPECT

We are interested in hearing from talented Ergonomics Engineers who can operate at leadership level to help us shape and ensure our customers\' needs are at the centre of everything we do with our future luxury automotives.

JLR is at pivotal stage of transition as we move towards a future connected, electrified and autonomous world which throws open a whole host of design opportunities and challenges associated to automotive design; of which our Human Factors team play a crucial role.

This is an opportunity be involved from concept right through to pre-production engineering phases and reap the reward of knowing your team delivered on what the industry is talking about when it comes to \'driver experience\'.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • This role focuses on leading a team of expert Ergonomists whose role is to enhance a customers\' experience of our vehicles.
  • Ensure that the team understands where their role fits into in terms of whole vehicle design
  • Development of reporting and process
  • Be the person who can unblock issues that stand in the way of progress
  • Ensure the team adheres to Programme gateway timing for Human Factors content
  • Deploy Agile cadence that ensures all technical issues and validation progressed in most effective way, including JIRA, AIMs and RTC
WHAT YOU\'LL NEED
  • Specialist knowledge of ergonomics, human factors and/or computer science, and user interface design at leadership level
  • The ability to develop strategies, analyse future trends, and forecasting
  • An understanding of the scientific theories and principles that relate to interface design
  • A clear understanding of Agile principles and ability to balance the on (programme delivery) and off cycle workload (BoK, tools, processes and technology roadmaps)
