Role Overview



Want an incredibly varied, unusual, and exciting role? Want to learn all aspects of a business from the bottom up?

We are looking for a creative, hands-on and customer-focused individual to join our growing Escape Room team. This role involves supporting the Directors and management team with day-to-day operations, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and helping build, maintain and update our themed escape rooms. Ongoing training and development will be provided to help you grow your skills and confidence within the business.

Standard working hours will include weekends.

Key Responsibilities



Customer Experience & Operations:

Welcome and brief teams before their game, ensuring clear communication and a positive experience.

Monitor games, provide hints when needed, and deliver engaging debriefs afterwards.

Maintain a clean, safe and organised environment throughout the venue.o

Assist with bookings, enquiries and general front-of-house duties.

Room Creation, Maintenance & DIY Tasks:

Support with building new escape room sets, props and puzzles.

Perform basic DIY tasks such as painting, small repairs, fixing props and replacing components.

Assist in regularly updating and refreshing rooms to keep experiences exciting and well-maintained.

Identify faults or wear-and-tear and report them promptly.

Team Support & Development

Work closely with the Directors & Management team to support projects, room redesigns and operational improvements.

Participate in ongoing training and upskilling to enhance creative, technical and customer service abilities.

Contribute ideas to improve guest experiences, puzzles, themes and operational processes.

Essential Skills & Attributes Required



Positive, enthusiastic and passionate personality.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Basic DIY ability (e.g., painting, simple repairs, basic tool use).

Creative mindset with an interest in puzzles, storytelling or design.

Ability to troubleshoot problems calmly under pressure.

Reliable, organised and willing to learn.

Desirable Skills



Experience in hospitality, entertainment or creative industries.

Craft, prop making, set-building or electronics experience.

Familiarity with escape rooms as a player or staff member.

Marketing experience with social media, picture/video taking and editing

Administration experience, use of spreadsheets, and possibly accounts software
