ESG Manager
to join our team.You will join us on a
full-time

permanent basis
and in return, you will receive a competitive salary from
42,810 per annum,
dependent on experience. This role is home based with occasional national travel.
About the ESG Manager role:
The ESG Manager will be responsible for the operational delivery and performance of the Charity's ESG function. This is a strategic role responsible for developing and managing ESG initiatives to align business practices with sustainable principles to ensure transparency, compliance and positive social impact.
This is the first time RVS has had a dedicated ESG role. Core to the purpose of this role is to define what an ESG programme at RVS might look like; what certifications or standards are most appropriate for RVS to aim for; and lead the ongoing management and delivery of organisational change.
Supporting RVS's ambitions to achieve ISO certifications - including 14001 - you will have experience of achieving ISO certification within other organisations, offering advice to teams across RVS on ISO frameworks and process.
Managing multiple and complex projects, the post holder will act as a subject matter expert to lead best practice, regulatory developments and drive continuous improvement and innovation.
The post holder will lead and support ESG strategies, policies and frameworks to align with the Charity's Corporate Plan and business initiatives.
Hours:
35 hours per week.

What you'll bring as our
ESG Manager:
Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks, regulations and sustainability principles - you will recommend an appropriate framework for RVS to use, and build the programme around it
Comprehensive understanding of national environmental laws and standards.
Understanding of risk management principles, particularly those related to environmental and social impacts, and how these integrate into broader organisational risk frameworks.
Skills:
Ability to conduct ESG assessments, synthesise and report data to support informed decision making.
Ability to create and develop ESG policy, procedure and frameworks as well as develop and implement long-term ESG strategies that align with the Charity's goals and requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate stakeholders, influence change and communicate ESG initiatives
Demonstrable problem-solving skills to identify risk, develop objectives and measure impact.
Ability to influence organisational change towards more sustainable practices
Experience
Experience in leading and support multiple and complex projects
Experience of creating, analysing, collating and presenting reports
Experience of delivering ESG management role or similar with evidence of high performance and positive impact
Proven experience in ensuring compliance with environmental and social regulations and standards.
