Esr & People Data Officer

Job Description

We are seeking an ESR and People Data Officer to be the operational lead for the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) as part of the People and Facilities Management Team within HEIW. ESR is integral to the work of the People and Facilities Management Team and this role will support the work of the team by providing people data through running a range of reports in Business Intelligence (BI) and downloading into a format such Excel that can be used by the wider team.



This role will also include ESR systems administration duties including the creation of cost centres and the setting up of position numbers. A working knowledge of how cost centres and position numbers are created and how ESR works would be an advantage. An understanding of the wider application of ESR including Oracle Learning Management and its benefits would also be an advantage.



In addition to the day-to-day operation of ESR this post will support the on-going work on maximising the benefits of ESR at HEIW.



As well as supporting ESR there will also be opportunities to be involved in the wider work of the People and Facilities Management Team and also to work with other departments across HEIW.



This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual with an operational understanding of ESR to join a progressive team and help shape the optimisation of ESR in HEIW and develop the range of business intelligence reporting.



Develop and provide regular reports through Business Intelligence and respond to ad hoc requests for data.

Undertake system administrator actions in ESR for HEIW.

Manage and plan a range of activities that enable HEIW to maximise the use of ESR.

Liaison with eAteb on the provision of ESR support to staff and delivering of training on the use of ESR where necessary.



The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
