About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Gardener to join our dedicated horticulture team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a diverse landscape that includes formal gardens, woodland areas, water features, lawns, and seasonal displays.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and enhance the gardens and wider estate grounds through regular tasks such as:
Mowing, strimming, and lawn care
Hedge cutting and pruning
Weeding, deadheading, and border maintenance
Leaf clearing and path blowing
Planting, seed propagation, and pot care
Jet washing and general presentation
Implement seasonal planting plans and contribute to the ongoing development of garden areas
Monitor plant health and apply pest/disease control measures (training provided)
Operate and maintain gardening equipment safely and efficiently
Work independently and as part of a team, ensuring high standards are met across the estate
Support occasional estate projects or special events, where required
What We're Looking For:
Minimum 2 years' practical experience in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance
Strong plant knowledge, garden care skills, and a good eye for detail
Comfortable using a variety of tools and machinery (training can be provided)
Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual tasks in all weather conditions
Friendly, reliable, and keen to contribute to a team environment
A full UK driving licence is essential
A Level 2 qualification in Horticulture
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday 9am-4.30pm
some weekend work during peak season on rotation
