Job Overview

Our estates team have a vital role to play in enabling our mission through maintaining our facilities, developing new venues, fixing everything we break and keeping our vehicle fleet moving.

No two days will ever be the same working in our estate team. Help to look after our 250 acre outdoor activity centre, dry ski slope, campsite and lodge. Mendip is one of the largest outdoor activity providers in the South West and are constantly growing. Our estate team are the back bone to our success. If you love working outdoors and can turn your hand to anything and relish a challenge then you will fit right in.

The estate team primarily works Monday to Friday - 8am till 4pm. However, the business is open Monday to Sunday and there is occasional requirement for the team to share weekend shift cover.??

Established in 1987, Mendip Activity Centre is a national activity, education and training provider setting the gold standard in adventure and training.

Our goal is to inspire everyone, everywhere, to make time for adventure. We do this by working with schools, families, individuals, groups and teams, and aim to inspire as many as possible.

We deliver high-quality and important outdoor education with professionalism and passion through the pillars of Adventure, Learning and Training. This role will be primarily based at our main centre in the Mendip Hills, Somerset.

Duties

General site maintenance Handyperson/odd jobs Estate ground works Seasonal projects assembly Ski slope maintenance, repairs and checks (training provided)
Your attitude and personality is paramount to us: we're looking for someone who has a positive outlook, professionalism, promptness and who works well under pressure.

?We are looking to employ someone with a wide range of experience, qualifications and skills who can turn their hand to many things and find positive solutions to a variety of problems. Whilst a broad skill set is required, we are keen to find the right candidate with general building and maintenance skills including blockwork, roofing, carpentry and tiling etc.

Skills

Driving licence Practical and hands on Plumbing and carpentry experience Physically fit and able to lift/move Ability to work outside in all elements Logical thinking Previous experience (3+ years )in a similar trade role Ability to work well in a team and independently

Other desirable skills:

Mechanical maintenance experience Electrical experience

Pay: 26,600.00-28,850.00 per year
