Job Description

The Governors of The Holy Family Catholic School are seeking to appoint a proactive and dedicated Estates and Facilities Manager to lead the day-to-day management, compliance and strategic development of our school estate. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking team committed to maintaining a high-quality learning environment for our students and staff.

Pay: PO2 SCP 29-32 (39,826 - 42,839 per annum)

Full Time - Permanent - All Year Round

The Role



You will play a key role in ensuring our buildings, grounds and facilities are safe, clean, secure and compliant. This includes managing planned and reactive maintenance, health and safety compliance, site security, capital improvement projects, sustainability planning and the oversight of cleaning, caretaking and external contractors. As the school's lead on estates, you will work closely with the Business Manager, Headteacher, Leadership Team and the Trust Estates Manager to deliver cost-effective and efficient facilities management services that support the school's wider improvement goals and Catholic mission.

About you



We are looking for a solutions-focused, well-organised individual with experience in estates or facilities management - ideally within an educational or similar setting. You will have a good understanding of statutory compliance (especially in health and safety), and the ability to lead teams and manage contractors effectively. A professional qualification in building, construction or facilities management is desirable, as is a Health and Safety qualification such as NEBOSH. Most importantly, you will demonstrate a commitment to the school's mission to "awaken minds, achieve dreams and serve others. " A full driving licence is desirable and you must have (or be willing to obtain) business use vehicle insurance, as travel between Trust sites may be required.
