Key Responsibilities:





Lead and Inspire: Manage and motivate your team to deliver exceptional services to residents. Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.



Deliver Change: Drive and shape the Caretaking Service, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of our residents. Utilising data to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.



Support Regulatory Compliance: Play a crucial role in supporting the council's response to the Social Housing Regulator. Ensure all services comply with regulatory standards and contribute to building and fire safety compliance.



Ensure Excellence: Oversee service performance, including site inspections and building and fire safety compliance. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and site management.



Manage Contracts: Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and achieve value for money. Hold contractors accountable and manage procurement and commissioning processes.



Budget Management: Set and manage service budgets, control expenditure, and find savings. Ensure financial resources are used effectively to meet performance targets.



Resident Focus: Put residents at the heart of service delivery and development. Engage with residents to understand their needs and ensure their voices are heard in service planning and delivery, making our services simple, digital and brilliant.


What We're Looking For:




Qualifications: Relevant degree in Housing or equivalent qualification, or demonstrable knowledge, skills, and experience in leading a regulated service. Experience: Proven track record in performance-driven and resident-focused services. Leadership: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams. Experience in leading through periods of change and uncertainty. Safety Awareness: Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations and risk management techniques. Communication: Outstanding communication, presentation, and reporting skills. Ability to deliver messages convincingly and clearly to diverse audiences. IT Literate: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and willingness to learn new technologies. Commitment: Dedication to providing an excellent resident experience and service delivery. Knowledge and experience of equalities and diversity issues. The role requires travel around the city, including out of standard working hours.
