We are seeking to recruit a talented, enthusiastic Site Assistant. The main duties of the role are:



Undertake repairs and maintenance of the site(s) as required in consultation with the H&S Co-ordinator / School Business Manager. Under the direction of the CLPT Estates Manager provide a cover service and or additional assistance across the schools should the need arise. Undertake training courses ensuring that the skills and knowledge on sites and health & safety issues are kept up to date. To drive the mini bus as and when required. To undertake routine checks of the minibuses in consultation with H&S Co-ordinator / School Business Manager, including fuel checks to ensure full time availability. To report to H&S Co-ordinator / School Business Manager any issues regarding the minibuses which may impact upon operation and health & safety of drivers / passengers. Check daily emergency exits and entrances are not obstructed. Check grounds and perimeter fencing / gates to ensure safety of pupils and staff. General site supervision, including prevention of trespass and ensuring that unauthorised parking does not occur. Cleaning sickness, etc and spillages as required. Ensure all bursts, leaks, flooding, fires and breakages are dealt with promptly and safely as appropriate. Maintain cleanliness and general tidiness of all windows, external areas, and empty litter bins daily. Remove clinical waste on a daily basis to appropriate external bin. Clean and clear all drains, gullies and ensure effective and healthy operation. Inspect outside fabric of the school and report and/or repair defects as appropriate.
