About you:
Solution focussed with ability to work with diverse stakeholders to deliver outcomes for customers in line with Outlook Care values and mission
Project management experience with ability to deliver quality outcomes on time and in budget
Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety practices within Adult Social Care
Excellent understanding of facilities maintenance, procurement and contract management, Adult Social Care regulations and best practice, Construction/Trade Industry Health and Safety and Statutory responsibilities for Estates & Facilities management
Multi-site management preferably in Health and Social Care/Supported Housing Sectors
Hold a relevant H&S Qualification or working towards
Experience of supporting with the management and supervision of maintenance staff
Good communication and negotiating skills
Good interpersonal skills with ability to engage with Tenants and Staff on site
Effective in managing Customer and Supplier relationships
Ability to produce reports using software packages, in particular Microsoft Office
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use or demonstrable ability to travel to and work across multiple sites in Essex & London
Job Role:
The Estates and Facilities Manager carries senior and professional responsibility for the development and delivery of all estates and facilities services across Nursing and Older Persons Services - both buildings and grounds. The Estates and Facilities Manager will provide expertise to support the development of Outlook Care and be the principal advisor on all land, property, estates and facilities matters working closely with the Director of Commercial Services and Operations teams, reporting to the Board through the Director of Commercial Services.
The Estates and Facilities Manager will be responsible for delivering all aspects of planned, reactive and cyclical maintenance. Leading on works projects, working within agreed budgets to ensure the existing homes are maintained efficiently and effectively; whilst also ensuring we are compliant with all statutory obligations and company objectives.
The Estates and Facilities Manager will manage all aspects of the maintenance function throughout the Nursing and Older Persons estates portfolio, for both current and future properties. The Estates and Facilities Manager will be responsible for Health & Safety within all Nursing and Older Persons services, managing and planning of works and the execution of projects and supervising external contractors when required. Alongside the Home Managers, your role will be to lead, mentor and motivate the onsite maintenance staff to achieve a high service delivery across our homes.
