Job Description

We're looking for an Estimating Manager who can turn project specifications into accurate, actionable cost plans. In this hands-on role, you'll guide a team responsible for preparing bids, analysing project requirements, and ensuring that every estimate reflects both precision and efficiency. You'll work closely with project managers, clients, and suppliers to make sure our proposals are competitive and reliable.

What You'll Do

Take charge of cost estimation across civil and structural engineering projects. Examine plans, drawings, and specifications to build thorough, accurate bids. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to review pricing and secure value. Balance multiple projects at once, meeting deadlines without compromising accuracy. Keep detailed records of assumptions, calculations, and supporting documentation. Mentor and support your team, helping them improve skills and workflow efficiency.

What We're Looking For

Demonstrated experience in civil/structural project estimation or similar construction roles. Strong grasp of construction methods and cost structures. Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail. Experience leading teams or managing multiple projects simultaneously. Confident communicator able to liaise with clients, suppliers, and colleagues. Formal qualification in civil engineering or construction management is a plus but not required.
