Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating project costs, preparing estimates, and ensuring that all financial aspects of projects are accurately accounted for. This role is essential in supporting our commitment to delivering quality work while maintaining budgetary constraints.

Duties

Review project specifications and drawings to understand the scope of work. Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, and overheads associated with projects. Collaborate with architects and engineers to gather necessary information for accurate estimates. Conduct market research to obtain pricing information and assess cost control measures. Identify potential risks and opportunities within project estimates. Maintain accurate records of all estimates and associated documentation for future reference. Assist in the preparation of quotes and proposals for new projects. Monitor ongoing projects to ensure compliance with estimated costs and identify any discrepancies. Attend site visits to gather information on project ahead of costing

Requirements

Proven experience as an Estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry (ideally domestic). Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices. Proficiency in using estimating software and tools. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with team members and clients. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: 23,000.00-27,000.00 per year
