We are looking to recruit an Estimator to join our Cementation team based in Doncaster. This role will work within our Fabrication Business stream and will be responsible for supporting the business in winning both value added and sustainable work.

W

hat you'll do:



Register and Assess enquiries in conjunction with the Fabrication Team including the Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC). Provide an accurate appraisal of the clients' requirements, summarising the points and identifying the risks and opportunities with the tender/ contract. Liaise with designers to come up with workable solutions to potential risks that are economically viable. Seek opportunities to increase profitability of tenders. Produce detailed estimates, including pricing of all necessary items and labour considerations for project execution. Ensure that information on the in-house, bespoke estimating system is both accurate and up to date. Attend and contribute at meetings and presentations with clients as part of the estimating team.

What you'll bring to the role:



Good engineering and steel fabrications knowledge with previous experience in an engineering/estimating/shop floor role. Able to understand engineering drawings/engineering specifications/Eurocodes/British Standards. Working knowledge of CAD / Tekla Commercial awareness to win profitable/sustainable projects. Computer literate - Microsoft packages, including Excel (being able to set formulas, produce spreadsheets etc). Experience in using Strumis or similar steel fabrication estimating systems
