Mega Glass Ltd is a leading manufacturer of bespoke architectural glass, supplying high-quality products to the building and fit-out trade. Operating from our 40,000 sq/ft factory in Dunstable, we offer a wide range of glass types and processes tailored to each project. We receive a high volume of enquiries, and our goal is to provide accurate quotations within 24 hours.

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-driven

Estimator

to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing quotations based on customer specifications, drawings, and templates. You will work closely with both suppliers and internal teams to ensure accurate pricing and smooth project handovers.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and submit accurate quotations based on measurements, templates, or architectural drawings Use in-house software and Excel for estimating and record keeping Liaise with suppliers to obtain pricing for materials and specialist processes Maintain organised records of all quotes sent and update details as needed Create handover documentation for production once orders are confirmed Run optimisation software for large projects to ensure material efficiency Contact customers to clarify details and discuss technical options

What We're Looking For

Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong numerical ability and understanding of unit conversions (e.g. mm to inches) Ability to read and interpret technical and architectural drawings High proficiency in Excel and general IT systems Some experience with CAD (preferred but not essential) Prior experience in estimating, ideally within manufacturing or construction Well-organised, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple enquiries A team player with a willingness to learn and follow established procedures
