Overview

We are seeking a roofing Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing project costs, preparing estimates, filling In and submitting tenders and ensuring that all financial aspects of projects are accurately accounted for. This role requires a strong understanding of cost control measures and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Duties

Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects by analysing drawings, specifications, and other relevant documents. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for accurate estimations. Conduct market research to determine pricing trends and material costs. Monitor project budgets and implement cost control measures to ensure financial efficiency. Prepare and present estimates to clients, ensuring clarity and transparency in the breakdown of costs. Maintain accurate records of all estimates and related documentation for future reference. Assist in the evaluation of supplier bids and contracts to ensure competitive pricing.

Requirements

Proven experience as an Estimator or in a similar role within the Roofing industry. Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills. Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field are desirable but not essential.

Pay: 24,420.00-49,371.15 per year
