Job Description

RJ McLeod is one of Scotland's leading civil engineering contractors, with extensive experience in renewable energy, highways, and marine infrastructure projects.

The goal is to ensure that projects are cost-efficient and within budget, while also helping the company secure new business.

Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, including materials, labour, equipment, and other resources. Review and analyse tender documents, contracts, and drawings. Prepare and submit tenders and proposals to clients. Identify potential project risks and suggest mitigation strategies. Provide detailed reports on costs and expenditures, helping ensure that projects are delivered within budget.

Skills and Experience

Preferably a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 5 years' experience in contracting. Degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as an Estimator, preferably in civil engineering or construction Strong mathematical and analytical skills to assess costs and project viability.
