The Opportunity

A great opportunity to join a well-established regional contractor within their General Works division, pricing a consistent flow of new build, refurbishment and small works projects typically up to 2m in value.



You'll play a key role in securing future workload by producing accurate, competitive tenders and supporting the wider pre-construction team. This position suits someone who enjoys variety, autonomy and working on multiple tenders simultaneously.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for:


Preparing tenders, cost plans and pricing documents. Assessing drawings, specifications and client requirements. Conducting take-offs and bill preparation. Liaising with supply chain partners for quotations. Assisting with procurement strategies and value engineering. Supporting handovers to the operations team following tender award. Maintaining accurate tender records and documentation. Working closely with the General Works and commercial teams.

About You

Experience as an Estimator within construction (general works, refurbishments or small works preferred). Strong understanding of construction costs, materials and procurement. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Confident producing detailed take-offs and pricing schedules. Excellent organisation and accuracy under pressure. Strong communication skills and supply chain relationships. Good IT skills (Excel, estimating software, digital take-off tools).
