Estimator - Full Project Pricing (Fit-Out / Cladding / Technical Installations)

who can

price a full job from start to finish

-- not just partitions and flooring. If you've been the go-to person for full project take-offs, confident with drawings, and know how to build a number that holds up -- this might be your next move.

What You'll Actually Do

(No jargon. Just facts.)

Measure straight off drawings

-- not just rely on subcontractor quotes.

Produce full quants

yourself -- you'll need to know what that means.

Build accurate, detailed cost estimates

using

Excel

(no specific software here).

Work directly with Project Managers and Design Teams

to nail requirements early. Assess risks, build contingencies, and support cost control through the lifecycle. Keep control of

subcontractor and supplier quotes

-- no blindly forwarding prices. Support

value engineering

efforts without compromising quality.

The Experience You Need

Solid Estimating experience in the

commercial fit-out

,

cladding

, or

technical installations

is a plus Must be able to handle

a full project

on your own -- not just bits and pieces Able to do

your own take-offs

and confident measuring off drawings Advanced Excel skills (that's what we use -- no estimating software) Comfortable in a fast-moving, detail-heavy environment Highly organised with sharp attention to detail Strong communicator who doesn't need hand-holding

Nice-to-Haves (Not Essential, But Useful)

Background in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or Engineering Experience working in Design & Build, Commercial Fit-Out, or Envelope/Cladding
