About the Role

As an Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction process by researching, compiling, and presenting accurate cost estimates for a wide range of

Groundworks and Civils projects

. Based at our

Ston Easton office

, you'll work closely with the commercial and operational teams to deliver competitive and well-informed bids.

Key Responsibilities

Research and analyse the cost of materials, transport, labour, and equipment for each project. Obtain and manage quotes from subcontractors and suppliers within required timeframes. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with contractors, vendors, and internal teams. Assess project risks and contribute to risk management strategies. Prepare and submit accurate tenders and quotations. Support bid preparation for new contracts and assist buyers in procurement activities. Monitor and compare actual project costs against estimates throughout the project lifecycle. Deliver results within tight timescales and deadlines.

What We're Looking For

Previous estimating experience within

Groundworks and/or Civils

is highly desirable. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. Confident in interpreting drawings, specifications, and technical documents. Organised, efficient, and able to manage multiple priorities. A positive, team-focused mindset with a high attention to detail.
