Fire & Security Estimator

Central London (Site-Based) or Romford (Office-Based)

45,000 - 55,000 (DOE) + Travel + Package

commercial, residential, and public sector sites in London

Estimator

to join their dynamic team.

This role is ideal for someone with strong estimating experience within the

fire detection, smoke vent, and AOV (automatic opening vent)

sector who wants the flexibility of working either on-site across

Central London

or from a

modern office near Romford

.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for fire alarm, AOV, and smoke ventilation systems. Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to produce detailed BOQs and cost breakdowns. Attend site surveys when required to assess and understand project scope. Liaise with suppliers for up-to-date pricing on materials and subcontract works. Work closely with project managers, directors, and engineers to ensure bids are commercially viable and technically sound. Support handover to delivery teams post-award.

Requirements

Proven background in fire & security estimating, particularly with

AOV and smoke vent systems

. Confident understanding of fire safety regulations and compliance requirements. Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical specs. Strong IT and commercial skills - experience using estimating software/tools. Excellent communication and organisational ability. Willingness to work from Central London sites or the Romford-based office depending on project needs.
