About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Full-time Estimator to join our clients dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in estimation, particularly in bespoke joinery and interior fit-out projects. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate cost projections and competitive pricing for our clients while maintaining our company's profitability standards.


Key Responsibilities

Prepare high-quality quotations by meticulously evaluating enquiries, drawings, specifications, and related documents Analyse project requirements, including materials, labor, equipment, and time needed to complete jobs Conduct on-site assessments to gather accurate information for estimates Collaborate with project managers, designers, and craftsmen to ensure comprehensive understanding of project scope Develop detailed cost estimates for bespoke joinery and interior fit-out projects Identify potential risks and challenges in projects and factor them into estimates Research and stay updated on market prices for materials, labor, and subcontractor costs Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing Prepare and present cost estimates to clients and internal stakeholders Revise estimates as needed based on client feedback or project changes Maintain a database of historical cost data for future reference Assist in the development of project timelines and schedules Participate in project handover meetings to ensure smooth transition from estimation to execution Continuously improve estimation processes and techniques Monitor project costs throughout execution and analyse variances Provide regular reports on estimation accuracy and project profitability

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in estimation, preferably in bespoke joinery and interior fit-out projects Proficient in estimation software and tools Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards Excellent mathematical and analytical skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and negotiation skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Knowledge of CAD software is a plus
