Job Description

Total Aluminium Systems Ltd is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented

Estimator

to join our dedicated team in Taunton. We specialise in the fabrication and supply of aluminium windows, doors, fixed glazing, and bespoke fenestration systems. Operating predominantly in the new-build sector, we deliver high-quality solutions to both commercial and high-end residential projects, offering a complete design, supply, and installation service through our skilled in-house team.

Key Responsibilities:

Reviewing and interpreting tender documentation, including specifications, technical drawings, and project details Generating and managing tender queries Liaising with manufacturers and suppliers to obtain accurate project costings Communicating with contractors, architects, and clients to ensure a clear understanding of project requirements Collaborating with internal departments, including the fabrication team, to resolve technical queries Preparing and presenting detailed cost estimates using industry-specific software

Candidate Requirements:

Previous experience in an estimating role within the aluminium glazing or construction industry Proficiency in

Logikal

and/or

ReynaPro

software, or equivalent transferable skills Familiarity with aluminium systems, particularly

SMART

and

Reynaers

, is essential Knowledge of additional systems such as

Technal

or

Hydro

is advantageous Competent in Microsoft Office programmes (Excel, Word, Outlook, PDF handling) Excellent communication and organisational skills Experience with

AutoCAD

is desirable but not essential Understanding of general construction materials and methods, including steelwork, blockwork, cladding, insulation, and standard building practices, would be beneficial

Additional Information:

as our main suppliers Knowledge of other systems such as

Technal/Hydro

would be considered an asset
