Estimator-Buyer
to join our dynamic team and play a key role in delivering high-quality, cost-effective projects from concept to completion.
About the Role
As an Estimator, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analysing project specifications, and supporting tender submissions. You'll collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, estimators, clients and the MD to ensure every bid is competitive, compliant, and profitable. The role will encompass buying for projects.
Key Responsibilities
Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare detailed cost estimates
Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors
Identify cost-saving opportunities and value-engineering options
Prepare and present tender documentation and cost breakdowns
Assist in post-tender negotiations and project handovers
Maintain accurate records of estimates, revisions, and project changes
About You
Proven experience as an Estimator in civil engineering, groundworks and construction
Strong understanding of estimating techniques, cost control, and procurement processes
Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills
Proficient in all MS software, especially Excel, Word and Outlook
Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Relevant qualification/experience in Quantity Surveying and Construction Management
