Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing project costs, ensuring that projects are completed within budget while maintaining high-quality standards. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of cost control processes.

Duties

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads. Monitor project expenses and implement cost control measures to ensure financial efficiency. Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of projects from a financial perspective. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to gather necessary information for accurate budgeting. Prepare tender documents and assist in the selection of contractors through competitive bidding processes. Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and project documentation. Provide regular reports on project progress and financial status to stakeholders. Advise on procurement strategies and assist in contract negotiations to secure favourable terms.

Experience

A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is essential. Proven experience in cost management within the construction industry is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations affecting the industry. Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Proficiency in relevant software applications for cost estimation and project management. Effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders and present findings clearly.
