We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing project costs, ensuring that financial and contractual aspects of construction projects are effectively controlled. Responsibilities
Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads.
Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
Conduct regular cost analysis and reporting to identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication regarding financial matters.
Assist in the preparation of tender documents and contracts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
Evaluate subcontractor bids and manage procurement processes to secure the best value for the company.
Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure that work is being carried out according to specifications and budget.
Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions related to projects.
Qualifications
A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience in cost control within the construction industry is essential.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
Proficiency in relevant software applications for cost estimation and project management.
