Job Title: Estimator / Quantity Surveyor (Renewable Energy)

About the Company:

Our client is a growing renewable energy company specializing in ECO and grant-funded projects, now expanding into social housing and private contracts. They are seeking a skilled Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to spearhead this new arm of the business.

Role Overview:

As the first hire for this new division, you'll be instrumental in estimating costs for local authority grants, and future social housing or private contracts. You'll shape the procurement and tendering processes, eventually leading a team as this area of the business grows.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate cost estimations for private and social housing contracts. Contribute to tendering and procurement processes, ensuring competitive and compliant bids. Support the company's growth into social housing and private contracts, adapting strategies as needed. Work closely with leadership to develop a bonus scheme that aligns with both company and individual success. As the department grows, oversee and mentor the procurement and contracts team.

Requirements:

Experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor, ideally in renewable energy schemes, or construction. Familiarity with procurement processes and tendering for contracts. Strong analytical and communication skills, with an entrepreneurial mindset. Ability to take initiative and grow a new division from the ground up.
