Job Summary


Crown Facilities is actively seeking a driven and forward-thinking Construction Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team.

In this role, the Estimator / Quantity Surveyor will be involved in a variety of projects, particularly in the Public Sector with a value up to 1m. This position provides an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take ownership of tenders, budgeting, and commercial management across a range of building and maintenance projects.

Duties



Prepare accurate and competitive tenders and quotations to support the PM's. Attend sites and take briefs and turn them into a detailed quotation Create detailed budgets and project cost plans for live and upcoming works. Manage the commercial aspects of live contracts, i.e. Early warnings and contract administration. Reviewing and interpreting project specifications and briefs Conduct regular site visits for measurement, progress tracking, and client liaison. Providing hourly rates for trades and sub-contractors etc. Be able to cost works to National Schedule of Rates (NSR) etc. and achieve the required profit margins. Work closely with the PM's and trades teams to ensure projects are delivered profitably and within budget. Sourcing and onboarding sub-contractors, suppliers etc.

Experience



Proven experience as an Estimator and/or Quantity Surveyor within the construction sector. Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g. NEC, JCT). Excellent numerical, analytical, and organisational skills. Ability to create accurate cost forecasts and manage multiple projects simultaneously. A degree in Quantity Surveying or Project Management (desirable) Professional Membership i.e. MCIOB RICS (desirable) A full UK driving license. Proven experience in Estimating / Quantity Surveying, ideally within a public sector setting. Experience managing projects across repairs and refurbishments projects. Clean enhanced DBS and you will be required to undertake the MOJ Level 1 Security clearance to qualify for this position. Commercial acumen to be able to effectively negotiate and prioritise opportunities. Proficient IT skills including use of MS Office & Project, ERP Systems, Linkedin etc. The position is based in our Warrington office, however considerable travel to West Midlands is envisaged due to our expansion plans.
