Do you want to work in field service engineering as part of a highly dedicated team of professionals ? Do you enjoy troubleshooting, repairing and installing high-end scientific equipment at customer site?

We are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer who will be responsible for delivering world class services and delighting our customers. You will be conducting repairs, maintenance work and installations of products at customer site in accordance with the service level agreement. You will diagnose system failures and determine the most cost-effective solution, you will escalate complex issues to greater level of technical support or quality reporting system. You will interact with our customer support team to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

What we\xe2\x80\x99ll get you doing:

• Become technically proficient in the support of our Bio-Pharmaceutical Development and Drug Discovery products so that you can provide consistent, world class levels of service and support to our customers by taking ownership of all assigned customer service calls; repairs, installations, preventative maintenance and OQs
• Ensure timely closure of outstanding service issues minimizing customer downtime and by completing all administrative tasks (call scheduling, call closure, providing detailed field service reports) for all service activities within target timelines
• Foster positive professional relationships with external as well as internal customers by promoting our company values.
• You understand Health and Safety at work and conducts self in a way that does not put him/herself or any other person at risk
• Promote our service organization and the value of our products and services
• Carry-out or assist with other duties by agreement with Service Manager

The essential requirements of the role include:

• Recognized qualification in electronics/engineering with relevant experience in technical field service based role with the willingness to travel and stay overnight up to 3 times per week as required. This role will involve some European and US travel and you should be prepared to regular international travel (minimum 1 week out of 4)
• Life Sciences instrumentation and automation experience with good mechanical, electronics and electrical experience including assembly level fault finding and testing. An understanding of Bio-analytical or clinical instrumentation would be useful
• Full UK Driving license

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Relevant work experience in a similar role, we\'ll also consider candidates who repair Laboratory equipment as part of their Scientist/ Engineer role who want to work in a Field Service role instead
• Customer focus, can-do attitude with good interpersonal skills to find innovative pragmatic solutions to delight our customers
• Good PC, IT, software and overall computer skills
