Your role as a European Logistics Analyst will play a key role in the fulfilment of import and freight operations from various sourcing locations across Europe. You'll be working with our banner companies, European sourcing offices and shipping service providers to manage the timely handling of goods for the groups various banner companies.
What's the job?:
Supporting the management of the group's commercial short sea shipping, road haulage and freight consolidation contracts with service providers.
Providing reports to communicate Kingfisher banner requirements to service providers (e.g. forecasts, shipping arrangements, performance targets) to enable them to implement their operations effectively.
Responsibility for overseeing the activities of our service providers and managing these relationships to ensure service levels are in line with Kingfishers expectations.
Communicating with internal and external stakeholder groups, dealing promptly to resolve operational, service and contractual issues as they arise and providing clear direction for resolution.
Monitoring and analysing the performance of service providers in all aspects of the logistics process through regular review meetings (e.g. KPI Reporting).
Supporting the European freight tender process providing insight of our banner requirements, shipping locations, volumes and seasonal trends.
Analysing and presenting large sets of sensitive commercial data with an exceptionally high degree of accuracy.
What you'll bring:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (core requirement).
An academic qualification in Logistics or Supply chain management or experience working in a European logistics or freight role in a 3pl / Carrier/haulier or within the logistics team of a major retailer.
The ability to work effectively under pressure and to manage competing timelines whilst still maintaining a high level of accuracy.
The ability to manipulate, analyse and present complex data sets.
Strong planning and prioritisation skills.
