Job Description


Due to their continued growth, our client, a leading removals company, is seeking an experienced removals professional for their new position of European Manager.

Based at their North-West London location, you will be responsible for managing all areas of their European Road Removal business including supply chain, coordination, cost and performance management.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for building the supply chain network as well as being a major decision-maker when it comes to choosing the partners dealt with inside the removals supply chain.
  • Administer quarterly performance feedback to suppliers in co-operation with Customer Service Manager, taking into account removals service performance scores, services faults, insurance claims, and service claims.
  • When necessary be the escalation point within the operations team.
  • Challenges current removals procedures and processes in an effort to improve supplier performance, margin management, and supplier selection.
  • Serving as a focal point for coordination between European supply chain carriers and move managers.
  • Develop and maintain a planner system to schedule all removals bookings and notify all shareholders accordingly.
  • Secure pricing tariffs, negotiate and set competitive benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with the Pricing team to develop a European-wide cost library of recommended suppliers based on removals performance, capacity, and pricing.
  • Key advisor on the best European removals cost base approach to RFQ costs.
  • Regular training workshops are held to increase internal staffs knowledge and awareness of European road removals, supply chain, customs formalities, cost control management, and client pricing/quotations.
Requirements:
  • Strong experience within the removals industry is essential.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Previous experience as a European Move Coordinator and Supply Chain Manager.
  • Exemplary organisational skills.
  • The capacity to make swift business decisions.
  • The capacity to respond to complaints and challenging. circumstances in a patient, composed, and efficient manner.
  • Excellent IT skills are essential.
  • Ability to implement system changes.
