Looking for a new opportunity? We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Evening Delivery Driver to join our team!

The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting our amazing indian takeaway food safely and efficiently to our customers in Yeovil and surround areas. This role requires you to have a UK full driving licence with your own car, to be knowledgeable of the area, great organisation and arithmetic skills and committed to delivering great customer service.

As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our deliveries reach our customers in a timely manner.

Schedule of work

5 to 6 evenings a week, starting at 5:15pm, finishing around 9:45pm/10:15pm. Weekends required and throughout the weekdays, Tuesday's we are closed. 21 - 30 hours per week

Duties

Safely deliver food deliveries, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies. Communicate effectively with front of house staff and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise. Maintain accurate delivery records, including logs of mileage and delivery times. Assist in boxing orders

Requirements

Valid UK driving licence and your own car. Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or similar role is preferred. Ability to perform moderate lifting associated with delivering orders - you may be taking multiple orders at a time or take large boxes. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns is essential. Good arithmetic skills for giving change. Great organisation skills - don't get orders mixed up or lose bills! A proactive attitude towards safety and adherence to company policies. Live in or around Yeovil (within 8 mile radius).
