This role is offered on a permanent basis. The hours are part-time, 18 hours per week.



Would you like to join our existing small and friendly housekeeping team at Cirencester Hospital?



We are looking for someone to cover cleaning and catering across the hospital to ensure a welcoming, clean, and safe environment for our patients, their families and the wider team working on site. The housekeeping role is an essential part of the day to day running of the hospital and ensures our patients and their families experience a high quality service.



We pride ourselves on providing a clean environment for our patients and colleagues, this role involves carrying out the daily cleaning schedule as well as additional cleaning duties as required . You will work alongside patients, colleagues and other visitors to our site; being professional and ensuring that you are working within the Trust Values.



This role also involves delivering patient meals and drinks on our inpatient wards. A full induction and training as well as ongoing in house supervision will be provided

This high-level overview shows we are in a healthy position, with higher scores than average for comparable organisations, alongside a great response rate, indicating good staff engagement. However, we also know we have plenty of room for improvement in many areas. To that end, we continue to prioritise and invest in our commitment to genuinely becoming a Great Place to Work with consistent top-quartile performance in the annual staff survey and Pulse surveys.



Ensure the cleanliness of the environment in accordance with the National Specification of Cleanliness 2007 or equivalent and to the agreed work schedules . The post holder will clean all areas of the site using a range of methods e.g. High dusting, damp dusting, vacuuming and mopping, in line with the NHS Cleaning Manual.



Be responsible for maintaining and replenishing stocks of consumable items used within the department, i.e.: paper hand towels, soap, in a safe and responsible manner.



Adhere to all aspects of Infection Control in all areas of work, including the use of colour coded equipment to ensure there is no spread of infection.



Follow local procedures for reporting areas cleaned and highlighting issues which have prevented duties being carried out.



Undertake enhanced cleaning duties under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor.
