Evening Hygiene Operative

Hours:

Flexible between 4:00pm - 11:00pm, Monday to Friday (occasional Saturday night required).

Contract:

Fixed Term until December with a view to extend. Part-time.

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking

Evening Hygiene Operative

to join our factory team. You will play a vital role in ensuring our production areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, supporting food safety and compliance across the site.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out evening hygiene and cleaning duties across all production and factory areas in line with company standards and schedules. Operate cleaning equipment and use approved cleaning chemicals safely and correctly. Dismantle and clean machinery and equipment where required, ensuring everything is left ready for production the next day. Maintain cleaning records and complete required hygiene documentation. Work closely with the production and quality teams to ensure food safety requirements are met. Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or non-conformances immediately to the Hygiene or Shift Manager. Follow strict health & safety and food safety policies at all times. Support audits and inspections as required. Very occasionally attend site between 3:00pm - 5:00pm for inductions, training sessions, or team meetings.

Requirements

Previous experience in a hygiene or cleaning role (ideally in a food manufacturing environment) is desirable but not essential - full training will be provided. Good understanding of hygiene, health & safety, and food safety practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a small team. Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours. Willingness to occasionally work a Saturday night if required.

Pay: 13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
