Evening Restaurant Staff
Job Description
An ideal opportunity to work in a delightful restaurant has become available at Passford House Hotel, a Country House Hotel in the heart of the New Forest, two miles north of Lymington. This is a full time position working five shifts per week to include weekends. The role involves working predominately over dinner service in our restaurant, bar and lounges. No split shifts, there is some flexibility with start time between 3.00 pm and 5.00pm with shifts typically finishing between 10.00 pm and 11.30pm. Previous experience is not required as full training will be provided. Due to the rural location of the hotel your own transport is essential.
Responsibilities
Greet and assist guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor. Take and process customer orders accurately while ensuring food safety standards are met. Serve food items as needed, adhering to hygiene and safety protocols. Manage time efficiently to ensure timely service during busy periods. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a smooth workflow and high-quality service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
Qualifications
Restaurant experience (preferred but not required) Strong customer service and hospitality skills Knowledge of food safety practices Basic math skills for handling transactions Time management skills to efficiently handle tasks Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
