Are you looking for a part time evening role? Edge Transport are looking to recruit a
Evening Transport Coordinator
to support our traffic office.
The role will be
4 hours per evening
,
Monday to Friday
. We are
flexible
on the shift start time to suit the individual so could accommodate a
set start time between 16:30 and 18:00.
So what will the role entail?
System checks
- monitoring scans to make sure everything has been accurately loaded, printing driver paperwork and manifests, as well as making sure that any discrepancies are fully investigated and resolved.
Problem solving
- supporting drivers, customers and depots with any queries, communicating delays or updates.
Partner messages
- responding to partner contact through Palletline and Hazchem systems, editing our records if needed to keep our systems up to date.
Driver debrief
- checking returning drivers have handed in all their paperwork and manifests, as well as ensuring that any issues have been recorded for action.
Document scanning
- sorting paperwork and scanning in to the relevant system, indexing images as needed so that we have electronic copies of all documentation.
The role itself can be
fast paced
; some days are straight-forward, others may be more demanding. You will need to be able to
multi-task
and think on your feet as you problem solve.
You'll also need excellent
organisation
and communication skills as well as a high degree of
accuracy
.
Previous transport experience is ideal
as you'll already understand the unique pressures that impact our day-to-day operation, but this is not essential.

Administration experience and demonstrable accuracy levels

Ability to work on own initiative and unsupervised
Confident with different software systems and quick to learn
Good communicator - face to face, phone & emails
