About the Role:


Event Duty Manager

in our cutting-edge Virtual Adventure venue which will be changing for a Christmas experience. You'll lead a team of enthusiastic guides and ensure every guest enjoys a seamless, safe, and unforgettable immersive experience. You'll be responsible for team leadership, technical support, guest satisfaction, administrative coordination, and overseeing the on-site gift shop--playing a key role in shaping the future of interactive entertainment.

Key Responsibilities:



Team Leadership:

Supervise, mentor, and support a team of Virtual Adventure Guides, ensuring high performance and exceptional guest service.

Operational Oversight:

Manage daily operations, including scheduling, equipment readiness, and guest flow management.

Guest Experience:

Step in to assist with guest interactions during peak times, ensuring a consistently high-quality experience.

Technical Support:

Troubleshoot and resolve more complex technical issues with VR hardware and software, escalating when necessary.

Training & Development:

Onboard new team members and provide ongoing training in customer service, safety protocols, and VR technology.

Quality Control:

Monitor and maintain cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards across all VR stations and public areas.

Atmosphere Creation:

Foster a fun, welcoming, and immersive environment for both guests and staff.

Administration:

Handle staff scheduling, inventory tracking, and supply ordering to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, equipment usage, and guest feedback. Prepare regular reports for management to support data-driven decisions and continuous improvement.

Gift Shop Oversight:

Manage the daily operations of the gift shop, including stock control, merchandising, sales tracking, and ensuring a welcoming retail environment. Train staff on product knowledge and upselling techniques to enhance guest purchases.

Requirements:



Proven experience in a supervisory or team lead role, ideally in entertainment, hospitality, or tech-driven environments. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail in administrative and retail tasks. Experience in retail or point-of-sale systems is a plus. A passion for storytelling, gaming, or interactive media is highly desirable. Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., Excel, scheduling tools, reporting platforms) is preferred. Availability to work weekends.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 12.79 per hour
