Overview

We are seeking a creative and passionate Florist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in horticulture and gardening, with the ability to design stunning floral arrangements for various occasions. This role requires excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as a flair for merchandising to enhance our floral displays. Multilingual abilities, particularly in English and Spanish, will be an advantage in serving our diverse clientele.

Responsibilities

Create and design floral arrangements for events, weddings, and everyday occasions Maintain the health and appearance of plants and flowers through proper care and handling Assist customers with selecting flowers and arrangements that meet their needs Manage inventory of flowers, plants, and supplies to ensure availability Organise and maintain the cleanliness of the work area and display sections Implement effective merchandising techniques to attract customers and promote sales Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients

Requirements

Proven experience as a Florist or in a similar role is preferred (min of 3 years) Strong knowledge of horticulture, gardening techniques, and floral design principles Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively Creative mindset with an eye for detail in floral arrangements and displays Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
