We are seeking a friendly and professional event host to assist us with our regular community events. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly upon arrival and check admission details.
Support interactions through introducing guests and being mindful of everyone feeling included.
Handle any initial complaints, and referring all escalations to the event manager.
Ensure a clean environment throughout the event.
Be an excellent advocate for the community, and engage with guests.
Requirements
Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, sales or events is welcome, but not essential.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly and confident demeanour.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Confident hosting up to 20 guests independently.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends etc as required by the business needs.
This role will involve some sole working. You will be supporting the event manager to run events on an as-needed basis. For the right candidate, there is opportunity for progression based on community response. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone interested in the events industry to gain experience in a small team, learn about the logistics of event planning and make valuable contributions.
