Event Planner/Coordinator Role Overview

Cenu is seeking an experienced event planner or coordinator who possesses the necessary skills and abilities to design, plan, and execute a variety of successful events. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that each event aligns with client objectives, reflects brand goals, and adheres to established budget requirements. This role requires overseeing all operational aspects of events, delivering seamless execution from the initial concept stage through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

As an Event Planner/Coordinator at Cenu, you will engage with prospective clients to gain a comprehensive understanding of their needs, clearly define the scope of each event, and effectively manage their expectations throughout the planning process.

You will be responsible for developing engaging event themes and concepts, followed by the preparation of detailed event plans to guide the project from inception to completion.

A crucial aspect of the role involves publicising events and managing the creation and distribution of promotional materials, as appropriate, to ensure maximum reach and engagement.

You will establish clear timelines and timetables for each event, delegate tasks efficiently, oversee multiple projects simultaneously, and supervise every phase of event execution to ensure operational excellence.

Your duties will include managing event set-up, swiftly addressing and troubleshooting any issues that arise, coordinating with staff as needed, and ensuring the smooth flow of all event activities.

You must ensure all legal, health, and safety obligations are fully met, and promptly consult with management should any deficiencies be identified.

When required, you will produce comprehensive reports to evaluate event outcomes and identify areas for future improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate a proven track record in event planning, coordination, or project management. The role requires a strong ability to manage time efficiently, maintain a high level of attention to detail, and effectively juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to foster relationships within the team. Candidates should be capable of creating and developing innovative concepts and ideas for events.

The position demands a talent for making swift and effective decisions, as well as solving problems under pressure. Proficiency in using social media and engaging with local groups to publicise planned events is required.

Candidates should be able to identify and utilise relevant event management software that can contribute to the smooth and effective execution of a variety of events.

Adaptability is crucial, along with leadership qualities, negotiation skills, and a positive "can-do" attitude. The ability to work independently, without supervision, is expected.

Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays is not mandatory, but would significantly support the seamless coordination of events.

Job Types: Part-time, Temp to perm

Pay: 20,031.68-37,597.45 per year

Expected hours: 16 per week
