Paragon Power Services specialises in providing temporary power solutions for indoor and outdoor events, film & TV, power shutdowns and failures & construction sites. We hold a large stock of generators, power distribution equipment, cables, heating, lighting, cable ramp and emergency exit signage.

We are currently looking for Electricians and Electrician Technicians to support our team and their clients in the world of live events and exhibitions.

As an Event Services Electrician, you will install and provide technical support for all

electrical supplies at venues & events across the UK, ensuring all electrical equipment and components are assembled, tested and maintained to the highest standard.

This is a permanent, 40 hour per week position. Flexibility is essential as although the role is predominantly week days, it involves a variety of working patterns including on call, early starts, late evenings and weekend working.

Key duties include:

Picking and preparing lighting, cabling and power distribution equipment. Maintenance, Test and Inspect, repair of lighting, cabling and power distribution equipment. Occasional driving. General warehouse duties - manual handling Assembling cables as required Ensuring all paperwork is filled out correctly Cleaning equipment to ensure it is of a high standard. General duties of tidying warehouse, workbench etc Diagnosis of faulty equipment and providing solutions for any problems Test Inspect and Certify of temporary short term entertainment industry electrical installations at sites across Scotland. Provide exceptional customer service to the client during the installation process. Implement and deliver first class Health & Safety standards across all work sites, ensuring compliance at all times

Skills/Experience required:

Electrical industry experience with a proven track record Good communication skills, tactful and polite, with the ability to deal with a wide range of clients both on and off site Full UK drivers license City & Guilds 18th Edition (BS:7671 2008) City & Guilds Electrical Installation NVQ Level 3 preferred City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 - Test Inspect and Certify City & Guilds 2377 Electrical Maintenance and Testing (or similar PAT qualification) Forklift/Telehandler ticket Able to diagnose technical faults and repair Ability to read/ follow client technical drawings and plans producing work of a high quality Able to install and connect all types of electrical cables connections 3 phase/single phase, data etc. Ability to work on own initiative and take control of specific electrical projects as directed by the Management team

Pay: 32,000.00-37,500.00 per year
