We are seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and energetic individuals to join our team of event staff for the Pembrokeshire Street Food Festival. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in event management, work in a high-energy environment, and be part of a community-driven event celebrating food, culture, and fun!
Key Responsibilities:
Event Set-Up & Pack-Down:
Assist with setting up the event before the festival begins (including fencing, marquees, signage, and decorations) and help with the pack-down at the end of the event.
Customer Service:
Provide excellent customer service by assisting festival-goers with inquiries, offering directions, and ensuring a positive experience throughout the event.
Vendor Support:
Help street food vendors with logistics, such as guiding them to their assigned spaces, assisting with power requirements, and ensuring they have everything they need.
Food Handling & Distribution:
Assist with food and beverage service in various festival areas, ensuring hygiene standards are maintained and orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.
Crowd Control & Safety:
Ensure the smooth flow of foot traffic, encourage social distancing (if necessary), and assist with the general safety of the event, ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed.
Waste Management:
Help maintain a clean and tidy festival environment by collecting waste and ensuring waste disposal bins are emptied and replaced as needed.
Guest Experience:
Ensure that guests have an enjoyable time by creating a welcoming atmosphere and answering any questions they may have. Help with activities or entertainment, as needed.
Desirable Qualities & Skills:
Customer-Focused:
A friendly, approachable, and helpful attitude is essential. You'll be interacting with people all day, so excellent communication skills are a must!
Team Player:
This is a team-based role, so being able to collaborate with others and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment is key.
Adaptability:
Street food festivals can be busy and dynamic, so being able to adapt quickly and handle unexpected situations is important.
Reliable & Punctual:
We're looking for individuals who are dependable and can commit to the full duration of the event from 23rd May to 27th May.
Experience in Events or Hospitality (Preferred):
Previous experience in event management, festivals, or hospitality is a plus but not essential. A willingness to learn and get involved is just as important!
Physical Stamina:
The role involves standing for extended periods, lifting moderate weights, and working outdoors, so being physically fit and comfortable with manual tasks is helpful.
Positive Attitude:
A can-do attitude and a passion for creating a fantastic experience for festival-goers and vendors alike!
