The Event Support Supervisor leads the Event Support team, ensuring that administrative and operational processes run smoothly and consistently. This includes overseeing the allocation of freelance crew, management of equipment manifests, transport coordination, and payment workflows.

The Supervisor does not perform these tasks directly but ensures the team delivers them accurately, efficiently, and on time. They are responsible for workload management, enforcing process discipline, resolving escalated issues, and maintaining communication with Accounts Payable to ensure freelancers and suppliers are paid correctly and on schedule.

Your day will look like:

Supervise and manage the Event Support team, ensuring tasks such as crew scheduling, equipment manifests, and transport bookings are completed accurately and on time. Monitor team workload, priorities, and performance, reallocating resources as needed to meet deadlines. Enforce adherence to standard operating procedures and daily administrative routines, ensuring process compliance and consistency. Oversee the freelancer payment cycle, ensuring data accuracy and working with global Accounts Payable on urgent or escalated payment issues. Maintain oversight of weekly freelancer payment preparation, ensuring information is ready and approved for processing. Act as point of escalation for operational or process issues within the team, providing solutions and guidance. Provide regular reporting on team activity, payment status, and process compliance to management. Coach, support, and develop team members to build capability and accountability. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement efficiency-enhancing solutions. Be a Solotech ambassador at all times. Any other reasonable ad-hoc requests as required by your manager.

Level of education:

Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) or relevant work experience.

Work experience:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar/business administration role.

Essential skills / experience:

Strong background in business administration, operations, or process management. Experience supervising or managing a small team in an administrative or operational environment. Understanding of financial administration, including invoices, payment runs, and working with Accounts Payable. Excellent organisational and process management skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team. Proficiency with office software and adaptable to new systems. Process-driven with high attention to accuracy. Strong leadership and supervisory skills. Proactive in identifying and solving problems. Organised, deadline-focused, and able to prioritise competing demands. Collaborative and clear communicator.

Desirable Skills / Experience

Experience in a project-based or service-led industry. Familiarity with resource scheduling, workflow management, or ERP systems. Knowledge of supplier or contractor administration.
