Avidator is committed to creating accessible learning opportunities for students through community-based educational initiatives. We are looking for motivated volunteers to support the delivery of a mathematics competition for students at Acton Library.
Key Responsibilities
Support registration and check-in processes. Assist with student and parent guidance throughout the event. Provide classroom and hall support to tutors and coordinators. Help manage timekeeping, transitions, and breaks. Supervise students during non-session periods. Assist with crowd management and maintain order during sessions. Support logistical arrangements, including room setup and materials management.
Skills & Qualities Required
Approachable, patient, and dependable. Comfortable interacting with children and parents. Able to work effectively as part of a team.
Safeguarding & Compliance
Adherence to child safeguarding guidelines is mandatory. ID verification required on the event day. DBS check preferred, depending on assigned responsibilities.
Training & Briefing
Participation in a short pre-event volunteer briefing is required. Familiarity with event flow and emergency procedures.
