We run some of Britain's biggest and best car and motorcycle shows, autojumbles and festivals... and need someone to help keep us organised in this fast-paced environment.

Our Events team needs an administrator; someone with great organisational skills, a team player who can communicate clearly and effectively, someone who understands the importance of health and safety, is computer literate... and who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and pitch in.

It's a part-time role which will sometimes involve working away from our head office, and definitely includes some weekend work. Duties



As part of the Shows and Exhibitions Team the postholder will be involved with customers, suppliers and contractors to ensure that events are conducted in line with company plans and to comply with company requirements.



Deal efficiently and effectively with customers enquiries, either on the phone, via email or in person. Create and manage documents, spreadsheets, MS Office and office management software Compiling reports. Source, negotiate and book contractors, entertainers, accommodation, infrastructure and other associated event suppliers. Raising purchase orders & ensuring all costs are correct. Attend Events and provide practical assistance in organising & running these events. This will involve driving light commercial vehicles, lifting and other physical work. You will be required to stay away from home whilst working at events. Work as part of a team but have the ability to plan your own work, use your initiative and meet deadlines, have strong organisational skills. Ensure you comply with all company requirements for Health and Safety for yourself and others. This will require carrying out risk assessments and ensuring any people within your sphere of responsibility at events receive training, knowledge and personal protective equipment as may be required. Maintain effective working relationships with others, including contractors and suppliers, to ensure operations are conducted as efficiently as possible. Manage daily administrative tasks, ensuring efficient office operations. Provide excellent guest services, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Qualifications



Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and colleagues. Accuracy and attention to detail Computer skills for maintaining spreadsheets and data Proven time management abilities, capable of working under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Ability to manage pressure, priorities tasks and workload. Demonstrated organisational skills with a knack for maintaining order in a busy environment.

Pay: 14,285.70 per year

Expected hours: 22.5 per week
