Would you like to shape Freshers Week for incoming students? Are you passionate about finding creative solutions to objectives, and working on exciting, student-led projects?
The Students' Union enables students to do amazing things: to improve their course, fight injustice, play the sport they love or just have fun. We're looking for an Events Coordinator to help lead the Union's events team, and work with students to help them to deliver their own activities throughout the year. One day you may be delivering a multi-stage festival, and the next you could be working with our societies planning a history month calendar. No two days are the same, and your experiences will help improve the services we offer to students at the University of Sussex.
We're looking for someone to show off their project management skills and work alongside a large number of student groups and external contacts. The Students' Union is committed to deliver a positive experience for its members, and this is your chance to help shape that.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who understands the needs of students and has experience in balancing multiple projects, and is excited about developing a diverse and dynamic programme of events. We would like our Events Coordinator to focus on the cultural and liberation calendar of events at Sussex - supporting students in creating their own events for key moments of the year. It will be crucial for the candidate to be able to juggle multiple projects at once, have experience in running creative and engaging events, plus be able to deliver excellent customer service to all.
