Remuneration will be 26,000 plus holidays and pension. There is a possibility of a future performance-based elementbased on function and events growth.

You must be eligible to work full time in the UK and will be required to undertake a DBS check and to take First Aid at Work training.

Job Summary :



Oversee and manage the day-to-day running of the SRFC clubhouse facilities and ensure the smooth running of events, services and functions.

To build the commercial offering, with a key focus on driving the function and events bookings, along with the planning and running of the events and functions whilst managing the club calendar.

To create a food & beverage experience for our members, patrons, and guests in line with the club expectations.

Provide effective hands-on management and leadership to the bar and catering team, ensuring the associated facilities are set-up and always maintained to the highest standards.

This position requires excellent organisational and personal skills, open-minded with a patient personality that will engage with the Club Committee to assist with the future growth and development of the Club.

The successful applicant will have a 'can-do' approach and will be expected to be at all times an ambassador for the Club and be a visible presence during opening hours representing the Club in a professional and friendly manner.

The successful candidate will have excellent Microsoft 365 skills, and the ability to be able to prioritise their workload to ensure a balance between time at the Club and administrative duties.

Essential Requirements of the Role:



Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills with a confident and outgoing personality and an ability to interact with people at all levels

Numerate with good IT skills Flexibility in terms of day-to-day duties and responsibilities(weekend, evening and nighttime work will be required)

Passion for delivering exceptional guest service Meticulous eye for detail and exceptional planning and organisation skills

Able to lead and train the staff with a positive "can do" attitude

Ability to multitask and work in a busy, fast paced, and dynamic environment

Ability to take initiative and a practical approach to problem solving

Have experience in a role in a Members Club, Bar or Catering facility with food production

Experience in organising, planning and running of functions and events

Experience in marketing via social media, internet

Desired Requirements of the Role :



Preferably the holder of an existing DPS licence and if not, a training course will be provided to ensure this is achieved Experience in using Bar POS systems and PDQ machines Hold a food hygiene certificate or similar qualification Have a valid driving licence, their own means of transport and appropriate insurance.

Responsibilities and Duties:



Work with the Board to identify and develop value added products, new revenue streams, product promotions and services to drive profitable sales

Ensure compliance with legal requirements for the sale of alcohol and food hygiene standards

Promotion of the Club through social media, marketing and the internet

Implement effective front-of-house service procedures

Be responsible for back of house and preparation areasbeing kept to a high standard

To reconcile weekly cash and pdq monies, bank andprepare floats in accordance with the financial procedureslaid down by the Treasurer and provide weekly reportingon financial matters

Ensure compliance with legal requirements for the use of the Club in relation to Health and Safety, COSHH, and Fire Regulations

2. Events Management

Lead and manage all operational elements for the events, from planning to execution, ensuring smooth delivery of services including overseeing setup as per requirementsand breakdown of events, ensuring all equipment, food, and beverages are delivered and arranged to specifications

Manage inventory of banquet supplies and equipment, ensuring they are well-maintained and available as needed

To coordinate all activity at the Club and ensure an online diary for all events and home matches played is maintained

To lead and work with the events committee to ensure oversight of all scheduled events and to work with key stakeholders to plan members events ensuring that the Club is utlised as much as possible

3. Bar and Catering

To take responsibility for the day-to-day management and running of the clubhouse bar and catering activities during match days and other functions

To develop and improve the catering and food service offering for the Club including match day, rugby events and functions

Ensure compliance with legal requirements for the sale of alcohol and food hygiene standards

Oversee the maintenance of all equipment, catering and bar facilities, taking responsibility for any damage and ensuring replacements and repairs are conducted as and when required

Manage the bar and kitchen to ensure effective stock control/management and undertake regular stock takes

Provide routine input into bar and catering associated supplier agreements Be in charge of ordering processes, achieving value formoney in all purchasing fully in accordance with thepurchasing protocols laid down by the Board.

Work to an agreed budget across the bar and cateringareas with appropriate controls in place to ensure expenditure and profit is in line with forecasted margins

Evidenced competency of managing a kitchen environment to a high standard

4. Staff Management

Develop staff rotas in line with bookings and Club events

Conduct and complete regular performance reviews

Recruit, manage, supervise and motivate casual bar & catering staff

Ensure staff training and compliance with legal requirements for the sale of alcohol, food hygiene standards, health and safety and COSHH

5. Cleaning & Maintenance

Manage contractors and casual staff to ensure internal and external areas of the clubhouse are kept clean and that the clubhouse is well presented at all times.

Manage the general maintenance of the clubhouse facilities and report to the Board any areas for repair or replacement.

6. Health & Safety

To be aware of and ensure that all risk is minimised andmitigated within the club and maintain a risk register.

Manage the first aid log for the venue

Carry out weekly fire alarm testing
