We're looking for a lively, personable, and creative team member who can host events with confidence, connect with our guests, and capture the fun on camera to share across our socials.

Role Overview:
As our Events Host & Video Editor, you'll be right at the heart of the action - organising and running exciting events, hyping up the crowd, and making sure every guest feels welcome. You'll also be behind the scenes editing and posting fun, engaging content from our events and activities. It's a varied, hands-on role for someone who's not afraid to take the mic, jump into the action, and help build our SPVR community both in person and online.

Key Responsibilities:
Event Hosting & Coordination
Be the face of SPVR during events - welcome guests, keep the energy high, and encourage participation
Host a variety of in-store events such as VR tournaments, kids' craft sessions, themed parties, paint & sips, and more
Build rapport with guests of all ages and create a friendly, inclusive vibe
Help create and manage an events calendar, ensuring all upcoming activities are well-organised and promoted
Handle event set-up, coordination and post-event tidy-up
Video Editing & Social Media
Capture and edit dynamic video content from events, parties, and behind-the-scenes moments
Create short-form videos optimised for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
Work with the team to post content regularly and grow engagement across SPVR's social channels
Help tell the SPVR story through fun, on-brand visuals and video clips
General Venue Support
Assist with day-to-day venue tasks as required
Support the team during busy periods with customer service, bookings or front-of-house duties
Be an all-round positive, can-do presence in the venue

What We're Looking For:
A naturally outgoing and confident personality
Comfortable speaking on a mic and leading groups or crowds
Great with people - able to build relationships and read the room
Organised and reliable with a proactive approach to planning and hosting events
Basic video editing skills (e.g., using CapCut, iMovie, Adobe Premiere Pro, etc.)
Familiar with social media trends, short-form content, and audience engagement
Creative, enthusiastic, and full of fun ideas
Flexible and happy to take on ad hoc duties when needed

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):
Experience in hospitality, entertainment, retail or events
Background in theatre, performance, or public speaking
Photography or graphic design experience
Familiarity with platforms like Canva or scheduling tools

Working Hours:
Part-time hours between 8-26 hours per week, depending on event schedule and availability. Weekend and evening availability is essential due to the nature of the events.
