Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Event Manager to oversee the planning and execution of a variety of events. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role requires a blend of creativity, time management, and communication skills to ensure that each event runs smoothly and meets the expectations of clients and attendees alike.

Duties

Plan, coordinate, and execute events from conception to completion, ensuring all aspects are meticulously organised. Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements for each event. Manage event budgets, negotiate contracts with vendors, and oversee all logistical arrangements. Upsell additional services or products to enhance the event experience for clients. Supervise on-site event staff and volunteers, providing guidance and support throughout the event. Ensure exceptional guest services by addressing any issues or concerns promptly and professionally. Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement. Maintain strong relationships with vendors, venues, and other stakeholders in the hospitality industry.

Requirements

Proven experience in event management or a related field, preferably within the hospitality sector such as restaurants or hotels. Strong organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with clients, staff, and vendors. Time management skills that enable prioritisation of tasks in a fast-paced environment. Experience in fundraising events is advantageous but not essential. A background in guest services or hospitality will be highly regarded. A proactive approach with a keen eye for detail to ensure every aspect of an event is executed flawlessly.
