The Opportunity:
LG Ad Solutions is on a mission to make TV an even better advertising medium for brands, agencies, networks, and most importantly, consumers. And we're looking to hire a UK Event Manager for a contract position reporting into the Global Head of Events.
As the Event Manager, you will be a key member of the Marketing team supporting various client touch points by assisting with the planning of conferences, internal events, proprietary thought leadership events, post-event analysis, and RSVP/list management in alignment with global marketing strategies.
This position will help build strategic customer loyalty through successfully planning and executing events targeted at increasing visibility, retaining customers and attracting new prospects.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Events professional skilled in managing a variety of event types, including experiential activations, trade shows, sponsored events, and bespoke/private gatherings. They should excel at overseeing timelines and logistics such as site selection, contracting, vendor management, run of show, and internal/external communications, as well as creating post-event recaps and evaluations.
This person must have exceptional time management and organizational skills, thrive in a team environment, and be ready to jump in and support the team whenever needed.
Responsibilities:
Support the overall management and maintenance of our EU yearly marketing calendar.
Support the Global Head of Events with event planning and production, providing on-site support for event installations and welcome/guest check-in.
Scope events and support the creation of event briefs and timelines/project plans.
Own all planning elements of event execution inclusive of timelines, project plans, budget and vendor management.
Provide support with gathering event feedback and all post-event evaluations.
Work cross-functionally across Events, Design, Comms and Demand Gen on all event promotion, including pre and post-event communications for event attendees and broader target audience segments.
Own client-centric gifting/premiums that supports the brand and business objectives inclusive of ideation, vendor discovery and negotiation, management, and distribution.
Create and own venue and vendor relationships.
Maintain an internal venue guide document with new venues for consideration.
Create and own gifting/premiums catalog/relationships.
Provide support and tracking for ROI for event activations, both manually and through martech automation noted below.
Create and maintain meeting decks for all key stakeholders in order to provide ongoing updates for all Industry Activations and Events.
Requirements:
Minimum 5+ years marketing experience including demand gen and event management and/or hospitality experience
Project management experience, including experience with PM tools such as Asana
Ability to problem solve and think outside the box
Demonstrated capability of self-direction and motivation
Direct experience in managing multi-faceted large-scale events with timeline management
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple short- and long-term projects
Strong communication skills; written, verbal and phone
Skills in PowerPoint, Excel, Google suite and other platforms
Knowledge of Splash platform
Strong vendor network is a plus
